Sandy and I talk about some of the highlights of our 6,500 mile, 15 state journey so far.

It’s hard to believe that we’re not even 2-1/2 months into our new journey and we’ve already traveled 6,500 miles through 15 different states.

Sandy and I bounce around a little bit talking about some of the highlights of our trip in this podcast, but that’s ok.  We’re enjoying every minute of it and finding God’s beauty in so many different places.

By this time in our trip we’re traveling through New England to take in the fall foliage.  We went to the original site of the Woodstock Music Festival in Bethel Woods, New York, traveled through Vermont into New Hampshire and back into Vermont again before heading over into Maine.

We stayed at a campground in Ohford, New Hampshire; a farm in Charlestown, New Hampshire; a farmers market in Burlington, Vermont and a campground in Bethel, Maine.

Youkilis is discovering new sites and smells at every stop.  He has dipped his toes in the waters of Lake Champlain and met some cows, goats, horses, pigs, and a donkey so far.

One day we ate breakfast in Vermont, Lunch in New Hampshire, and dinner in Maine as we traveled east across the region.  We’ve eaten at some amazing restaurants and purchased some of the area’s staples to take with us on our travels like Vermont Maple Syrup and cheese, as well as some organic beef, bacon, and sausage.

Most of all, we’re enjoying the journey.  We have a plan, but we’re ok when we have to make an adjustment and go off script if we need to.

Sandy has been writing a journal about our journey and there may be another author and book in the family soon, which I for one think would be absolutely amazing.

Like I said, we bounce around a little bit in the podcast as we talk about this leg, but we have fun and laugh at ourselves as we share where we’ve been.
