In this episode of The Journey of my Mother’s Son podcast, I sit down and talk with my youngest grand-daughter, Lizze Croft.

At 11 years old, she surpasses Ella Witman as the youngest guest that I’ve ever had on the show.

One of the three main locations that we stay at when we come back to visit in Pennsylvania is at Lizze’s parents house.  My daughter, Sherry, and son-in-law, Stephen have a beautiful 3-acre mountain-side property that backs up to the woods.

When we’re mooch-docking at their house, Lizze loves going on walks and hikes with Youk, Sandy and I.  There is a nice trail through the woods right behind their house and plenty of back road walking routes with some amazing scenic mountain-side farmland.

Lizze, Youk, and I getting ready for a hike.

Lizze loves walking and being in nature.  Before we started our journey last summer, her and I would take Youk up to Swatara Creek Park in Lebanon County.  We would pack a lunch and take the RV up to the park and explore for several hours.  It was some really great quality time.

Lizze is super smart and has a unique zest for life that I pray that she’ll never lose as she gets older.  She loves to read and write and hopes to someday author and publish several books.  To have another author in the family would be absolutely incredible.

One of Lizze’s responsibilities at her house is to help take care of the chickens.  They have 15 chickens and one rooster on their property.  Lizze takes great pride in being one of the primary caretakers of the chickens.

I am so proud of Lizze and I’m excited to see what she’s going to accomplish in her life.

Sandy and I are incredibly blessed to have not just Lizze, but eight wonderful grand-children.  We can’t wait to see what they do with their lives and hope that they all know how much we love each one of them.

I hope to have them all on the show at some point.
