I don’t think that you can be considered spoiled if you deserve it.

The other week my daddy posted a picture on social media of me waiting to get some eggs, cheese, and grits for breakfast and added the hashtag “#spoileddoglife.”  I didn’t think that was fair at all.  You can’t consider someone spoiled when they deserve everything they get.

I mean, let’s face it, my mommy and daddy are always telling me that I’m a good boy.  They’re not wrong.  So, I think that because I’m such a good boy, I deserve every nice breakfast, treat from a stranger, and all of the other nice things that I get.  In my doggy opinion, none of this seems to make me spoiled, just well-deserved because I’m such a good boy!

Think of all of the nice things that I do.

I love my mommy and daddy unconditionally.

I try to make every person I meet smile.

I protect my mommy and daddy from those mean squirrels at the park.

If my mommy or daddy or anyone else drops food on the floor, I am more than willing to help clean it up right away.

I make sure that my mommy and daddy stay in shape and healthy by taking them for as many walks as I can.

Sometimes I just start barking and everyone tries to figure out why.  I’m really just announcing my presence with authority.

I cuddle with my mommy and daddy whenever I want, even if they don’t want me to.

Whenever my mommy and daddy eat something, I am right there to let them know that I’m willing to make sure that there are no leftovers.  We have a small refrigerator in the house on wheels, so that is really important work for me to help with eliminating leftovers.

And those are just some of the awesome things that I do on a regular basis.

After thinking about all of the great stuff that I do for my mommy and daddy, I actually think that they are the ones that are spoiled, not me!  What else would you consider two humans that have such an awesome dog like me?  They have to be spoiled.

I’m a well deserving good doggy and I go out of my way to spoil my mommy and daddy.

So, that’s going to be my story, and I’m sticking to it!
