In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother’s Son” podcast, I sit down to talk with Toni Reece.

When I saw that I was approaching my 100th episode of the Journey of My Mother’s Son podcast, I wanted to make sure that I had a very special guest on the show to commemorate the milestone occasion.  With that thought in mind, it only made sense for me to have my former producer, Toni Reece as my guest on the show.

Toni has been a colleague, dear friend, and mentor of mine for ten years.  She was the one who initially got me into podcasting in the first place.  She was behind the scenes and at the control panel for 267 episodes of the original podcast that I had hosted from 2012 through early 2020, Stepping Up to the Plate.  She was on the microphone and the guest host of episode number one of this podcast when we launched it on February 25, 2020.

Even though our full-time RV journey has separated us physically, we stay in contact quite a bit.  She continues to be an inspiration to both Sandy and I and we always look forward to her “Sunday Night Reflections” post on Facebook.

During the podcast we talk about some of the health challenges Toni has faced recently and how it has allowed her to take a new perspective on how she spends her time and the importance of being present with those around you.
