In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother’s Son” podcast, I sit down to talk with Mitch Hankins.

Mitch Hankins is a cloud-certified full-stack developer who speaks to professionals who struggle to find meaning in life. He has developed his expertise by working with some of the largest organizations in the US, including Nasdaq and the US Military. With over a decade of professional experience, Mitch noticed he and his colleagues often struggled with feelings of isolation. This often led to an unfulfilled life where complacency and loneliness were the norms. Mitch can help any engineer with feelings of loneliness to experience a fuller and more connected life.

In his words, Mitch says:

“What I’m good at is inspiring people. From the outside, I have always seemed to live a successful life. But I’ve had to defeat trauma and mental health issues in the process.

My message is that the way we define success in modern day society is akin to eating the menu rather than the meal. Instead of valuing relationships and contribution, we are taught to value things that are superficial and flashy. We always want the bigger house, the new phone, or the next pay-raise. The truth is that we’re starving for more meaningful lives but most of us don’t know how to get started.”
