In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother’s Son” podcast, Sandy and I talk about our travels throughout the beautiful state of Colorado.

We spent a little over a week in Durango at my cousin, Becky, and her husband Bill’s house.  While in Durango, we took a tour on the Durango to Silverton train, spent time on the lake, and took in a chuck wagon dinner.

After Durango, we took the Million Dollar Highway into Montrose.  We spent a couple of days in Montrose.  We stayed with our friends Trina and Tara O’Brien and then explored the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

Following Montrose, we continued north to Grand Junction.  Working around my book signing schedule, we were able to check out the Colorado National Monument Park.

We wrap up the episode talking about our time at Rifle Gap and Rifle Falls State Parks before spending a day relaxing in the hot springs at Iron Mountain Hot Springs in Glenwood Springs.
