After we got all of our errands done in East Ellijay, Georgia it was time to start heading to Kentucky.

Mommy called Aunt Cheryl while we were driving, so I got to say hi to her on the phone.  She reminded mommy and daddy to make sure that they bring bacon out for me the next time that they go to Cracker Barrel.

We stopped at a shopping center in Tennessee just for me to go potty.  Mommy and daddy went potty too, but not in the grass like me.

We then drove to the Kentucky Welcome Center for our next potty break and that’s where mommy and daddy and me all ate our dinner.  When daddy took me out to go potty, I loved the feeling of that grass under my toes!  It was the best grass that I had been in for a long time.  I also started eating the grass because that’s what I do sometimes.  Daddy tells me to stop, but I like the taste of grass a lot.

We stayed at a Cabela’s in Lexington, Kentucky that night and it was cold again.  I didn’t think that it would be in the 30’s in Kentucky in the middle of April.  Mother Nature was going through one of her moods again.

We got up pretty early and went to the Ark Encounter.  I slept in the house on wheels and listened to music while mommy and daddy walked through that big ship.

We stayed in a Cracker Barrel again that night and then mommy and daddy went to the Creation Museum before we headed off to Big Bone Lick State Park in Union, Kentucky.

I really liked Big Bone Lick State Park, our site was right on the end – Site #1.  I think we got that site just for me because I’m Number One in mommy and daddy’s hearts!

The weather was really nice when we were in the state park.  We got to hike on some really neat trails there and I met some really nice people.  I also met a really big bison who wanted to be my friend.  She was really close to giving birth, I bet she’ll be a good mommy because she was really calm and nice to me.

When we left the park, we were headed off to Louisville so that mommy and daddy could go to the Louisville Slugger Factory and museum.  It was hot that day, so mommy and daddy turned the air conditioner on for me in the house on wheels.  I napped and listened to music again while they went to the museum.  I like napping and listening to music.  It’s relaxing and soothing for my soul.

Mommy and daddy came out with little baseball bats and the little nubs that get cut off of the baseball bats once they’re made.  Mommy enjoyed the tour and museum more than she thought she would.  She thought that it was really interesting to see how baseball bats were made.  Daddy just had that, “I told you so” look on his face as she was telling me all about it.

We were off to another Cracker Barrel for the night.  We go to Cracker Barrel so much, maybe I should reach out to them and have them sponsor my blog.  This Cracker Barrel was really cool because it was next to an ice cream shop.  Mommy and daddy went to get ice cream, but didn’t bring any back for me.  I guess I just have to keep training them.  I just got them trained on the bacon thing, now I’m going to have to get them trained to bring me ice cream back too.

They did bring me bacon in the morning, so I’ll consider that a win.

Then we went to Mammoth Cave National Park and were going to be staying there for two nights.  Man, I thought that Big Bone Lick State Park was cool, well Mammoth Cave National Park was absolutely awesome!  Those trails were some of the coolest trails that I’ve ever hiked on!  I wasn’t allowed in the caves, but mommy and daddy told me that there was a dog with one of those vests on it that was on the cave tour with them.  I swear that I am going to find daddy’s Amazon password and order one of those vests for myself!  Then I will be able to go everywhere with mommy and daddy!

Me and mommy and daddy went on some really nice above ground hikes while we were there though.  Just daddy and me went on a couple of hikes by ourselves too.  We even got up really early the morning that we left to go on one last hike.  I think that we hiked about four miles or so, but I don’t know for sure because daddy didn’t have cell service so he couldn’t use his little tracker thing on his phone.

When we were leaving, we had to stop at the dump station.  Mommy and daddy started talking to these nice people at the dump station.  This is the second time that this happened in Kentucky.  When we were leaving Big Bone Lick State Park, we seemed to be at the dump station forever because they started talking to people there too.  I never thought that dump stations were hangouts where you could meet people at, but apparently it must be a new thing.

After we left Mammoth Cave National Park, we went to the birthplace of Abraham Lincoln.  They had that really plush and tasty grass there too.  It was delicious and nice to walk and poop in.  Daddy even kicked his flip-flops off and walked around in it barefoot with me for a while.  Daddy walks barefoot when he needs to be grounded.  It’s called Earthing, I’ve been doing it my whole life and it really does help keep you calm, cool, and collected.  Daddy should do it more before he starts driving so that he keeps his cool better if we come across any stupid drivers.  This seems to be happening more and more lately, but daddy says that you can’t fix stupid.

I really liked Kentucky; it was awesome.

Now we’re off to West Virginia as we start to head back to Pennsylvania to get mommy there in time for Mother’s Day.
