In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother’s Son” podcast, Sandy and I talk about the last leg of our travels heading back east to Pennsylvania.
All in all, this is a wrap-up of what turned out to be an over 6,000-mile trip that covered 16 states. We had a great time and were able to see old friends and meet new ones, too.
We were able to stay a few days in Rock Cut State Park again before we made our way into Monroe, Michigan for my last book signing of my summer and fall book tour.
We drove from Michigan all the way to DuBois, Pennsylvania so that we could make up to the Elk Country Visitors Center at sunrise to see the Pennsylvania elk herd. It was one of the most amazing things that we have ever witnessed.
We worked in seeing Grace Potter in concert at Penns Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania and then made our way to Tobyhanna State Park in the Poconos.
I did another MammothMarch event in Hackettstown, New Jersey before we circled back to Berks County for almost the entire month of October.
We hope you enjoyed traveling along with us virtually.
